Ladies Corset Cover, Circa 1865

A plain homemade corset cover with the owner's initials embroidered in red. The bust measures 37" and the waist is about 29". It is made out of white cotton with narrow crochet trim around the neckline and sleeves. The cut and length is the same as the bodices of the period. The front fastens with hooks and hand worked loops.
